Private & Semi-Private Swim Lessons for Kids (Ages 4+)

Private lessons help your child progress at their own pace.

For children ages 4 and up, Chicago Blue Dolphins offers private swim lessons for kids in Chicago for one, two, or three swimmers at a timeUnlike our small group clinics that run on set schedules, private lessons run on your schedule.

  • Need to skip a week? No problem.
  • Want to switch days or times? Easy.
  • Want to come multiple times a week? You can.

📣 Attention Swim Team Parents!

Private lessons can make a major difference in your competitive swimmer’s times. While team practices provide plenty of yardage, they don’t allow for much individualized coaching. Adding in private lessons helps your child:

  • Escape the “salmon run” – Focus without the distractions of a crowded lane
  • Target stroke details – Refine breaststroke timing, butterfly hips, freestyle breathing, or backstroke hand entry without the pressure of interval send-offs
  • See what coaches see – Use multi-angle underwater and above-water video for real-time feedback and correction
  • Break through plateaus – Replace frustration with a clear plan to improve
  • Practice with purpose – Leave with 2–3 key focus points to bring back to team practice for faster progress

💡 The best times to schedule? Off-season periods, holiday breaks, and school days off—when your swimmer can get extra attention at our Swim Studio.

Private Skills Assessment

Not sure where your child fits in our program? Schedule a 25-minute Skills Assessment Lesson for just $62.00.

During this session, an instructor will:

  • Run your child through a series of exercises
  • Evaluate their current skills
  • Recommend the class or lesson path that best matches their goals

This helps you avoid unnecessary repetition and ensures your child starts at the right level.

💡 This session is not a substitute for a private lesson—it’s strictly for evaluation and placement into our class progression.

Cost: $62
