We had a great turnout for the Big Shoulders 2.5 and 5K open water swim this past Saturday September 12th.
In the 5K division, we had 12 swimmers compete and we had 4 swimmers place in the top 50 overall — Tim Carlson (13, 1:01.02), Justin Chiles (18, 1:02.03), Rob Iglinski (41, 1:05.21), and Katie Braun (46, 1:05.44). Other Blue Dolphins competing in the 5K swims were Dave Doherty (79, 1:08.55), Sarah Randag (85, 1:09.21), Patrick McKeever (99, 1:11:09), Kate Lorenz (180, 1:16.41), Paul Tzur (183, 1:16.42), Eric Hatch (209, 1:18.18), Ruth Meade (311, 1:26.22), and Hans Yeates (372, 1:31.55).
In the 2.5K division, we had 7 swimmers compete this year. Stephanie Dumire (78, 44:44), David Margolin (100, 47:00), Tobey Demott (124, 48:28), Diana Brodeur (152, 51:12), Bernice Ruo (179, 54:34), Patti Engel (227, 1:11.58), and Maria Harrigan (231, 1:16:44) all put in great swims this year.
