(Masters swimmer and former collegiate swimmer)
“I enjoy swimming with CBD because there are so many practice opportunities offered.
Each practice is unique and challenging in its own way and the coaches create
a fun, positive atmosphere.”
(Masters swimmer and former collegiate swimmer)
"I’m looking forward to another butterfly tune-up before racing season gears
up. My fly feels awesome since that all-fly-all-the-time practice earlier in
the summer. That was a real breakthrough."
(Masters swimmer and competitive triathlete)
"I dropped more than a minute and a half from my Big Shoulders 5K
time after a few sessions in the Endless Pool with Coach John Fitzpatrick.
CBD’s Masters Program is great. I really appreciate having the other swimmers
pushing me."
(Triathlete)
"I just wanted to let you know that I took off half an hour from my
1.2 mile swim this past weekend. While I wasn't the most graceful swimmer,
it did help improve the other parts of my race and I look forward to my
next event in hopes of setting another PR. And one more thing…I DID NOT
USE THE NOSECLIPS!!!!!!!"
(Mother of Nina, a high school junior)
"Just wanted to drop you a note thanking you for giving Nina a great beginning this swimming season. She qualified for state in three events this season. 100 back she dropped almost three seconds 101 to 58. She split 27.53 on back in the medley relay that ended up breaking the sectional and pool record which her older sister was on 3 years ago. She went All-American this season. We are looking for a better season next year. She is already back in the water after 2 day break training hoping to qualify for junior nationals this summer."
(Mother of Sydney, a high school senior)
"We started out some what down at the State meet. I felt like she swam great, but everything was much faster then last year. She ended up with 2 thirteenth finishes, missing top twelve by a .01 and .10. She swam a 24:27 in the 50 Free and a 52:76 in the 100 Free. But she's a come back kid, and led the 400 Free Relay off with a 52:13!!!!!! She's really walking on clouds--along with the team and coaches. Once again, I can't thank you enough for your time. She's now looking at (Division 1) colleges, with her 52:13 in her pocket."
(Masters/Fitness Swimmer and CBD founding member)
"Congratulations on building such a wonderful organization over the last 5 years - good swimmers, good coaches, good people. Being able to deal with the amazing range of abilities and continuing to attract not just elites but relative beginners - quite a feat, sir! I'm happy to be a part of it. I plan to swim until someone has to fish me out of the water."
(A new triathlete after just 1 lesson with CBD)
"I just wanted to say thanks again for the lesson and that I succeeded in drastically reducing my swim time in just one week. I completed an Olympic tri prior to the lesson with a time of 45 minutes, and then I was able to finish the swim at the tri this past weekend in just 31 minutes. Thanks for all your help!!!"
(A triathlete who took our Freestyle 1 clinic)
"I wanted to let you know how my swim ended up at the Chicago Tri. Well, I swam the fastest 1500m of my entire life! I felt like I was balanced for most of the swim and as hydrodynamic as possible. This off season, I can't wait to further enhance my stroke, get even faster/more efficient and kick some butt at IM Wisconsin next year. Thank you for all your help. All those lessons truly made a massive difference."
(A triathlete who learned to swim with CBD)
"It [the Pleasant Prairie Olympic Triathlon] was a great race overall! My swim went well. This was absolutely the most comfortable I have felt in an open-water swim/race. Thanks again for all of your teaching and support! It has certainly paid off!"
(Masters swimmer and former collegiate swimmer)
"Just wanted to say thanks for a great practice this morning. I was having a bit of a lack of motivation (seriously considered not getting off the train by Moody and just going to work early...) but the workout really inspired me to get moving and put in a good effort! I needed that!"
(A triathlete who did a Swim Assessment with CBD)
"Just wanted to let you know that I received the CD. The visual reminder will be useful as I do my drills. Thanks so much for your help with the stroke analysis, oh, and for the 5 or so years of expert and extremely helpful swim coaching!! :) I could hardly swim at all when we first met at that Total Immersion workshop all those years ago, and now I find myself preparing for the swim from Alcatraz. Hard to believe." (She finished the 1.5 mile swim in 50 minutes)
(A triathlete)
"I certainly have been presently surprised by the excellent support/coaching and overall environment of CBD. I never quite envisioned being around this long but am definitely enjoying it. It's amazing to think what I would have missed out on by not joining your team. You and everyone on your staff deserve a lot of kudos and I appreciate all the help I have received thus far. I am looking forward to any additional gains that I can/might make this year."
(Masters/Fitness Swimmer)
"Swimming is totally different for me after these 3 years, and actually the first thing I did after I landed [in Israel] was to try and find a swimming team here (better yet a Total Immersion swimming team) and I have to tell you—this is not easy! You raised the bar..."
(A former Aquaphobe turned Triathlete)
"I just wanted to let you know that last weekend I completed my first triathlon - The Schaumburg Splash Pedal Dash! It was a sprint triathlon (400 meter pool swim, 15 mile bike, 5K run). I finished with a smile on my face - it felt like such an accomplishment. The swim went very well. I wasn't nervous and just took my time so I had enough energy for the bike. Anyway, thanks again to you and the Blue Dolphins. I couldn't have done the swim without you!"
