Infant Toddler Swim Classes – Overview
Our Infant Toddler swim classes are gentle, child-centered, and age-appropriate. We introduce skills when a child is ready, open, and relaxed. We take the tears out of the process and foster fun in learning — no forced back float, immersions, or aggressive skills-based curriculum.
As a parent, you will be in the water and an active participant on your child’s swim journey. You will be your child’s “spotter,” helping him perform the activities safely and happily. We will also teach you the skills you need to be able to take what you learn from class to have fun with your little one in the pool, lake, or ocean.
It is catered to what really captures my baby’s attention and interest. He is beyond excited for every class. — K.A.
I had a great experience with my 13 month old at Blue Dolphins! The location is easy to get to, with free street parking, and easy access to the pool. The swim area was warm enough that she didn’t get cold in the water. The instructor was very attentive and friendly and the class size was small. — E.G.
My son likes swimming, is motivated to get better, and has fun- even doing things that used to be scary or disliked. Unlike other places we’ve tried, he’s seeing improvement. — R.C.
It was totally child oriented. I enjoyed the teaching of swimming skills through songs and games. — H.H.
Our children’s group swim classes run for 3 months at a time. Why 3 months? Because this is the amount of time it takes for your young swimmer to make measurable improvements. We are confident in our methods. If you stick with us for 3 months, you’ll understand what the big difference is!
Even though each class runs for 3 months, tuition is paid monthly instead of in one lump sump. This makes it easier on the family budget. We also offer a discount when you enroll your child in more than one class per week. Coming more frequently helps your little one adjust more quickly to the water and speeds up the learning process.
In addition to tuition, there is a $20 annual membership fee to cover insurance and safety costs. If you continue on with us beyond one year (and we hope you do), you’ll be charged the membership fee on each anniversary.
If you withdraw from the class before the end of the 3-month term, there is a $50 cancellation fee. For more details about withdrawing from a class, see “Disenrollment from Automatic Tuition Renewal” on our Policies and Procedures page.
How Our Billing Works
When you register for a class, we charge your credit card that day for the first month of tuition. We will then set you up for automatic payment on the same day in subsequent months. We will keep you on auto pay until your child moves into a class with a different tuition or until you decide to discontinue classes with us.
We strongly recommend registering your baby or toddler for more than one class per week during the month. Coming more frequently helps your little one quickly adjust to the water and speeds up the learning process. We provide a multi-class discount as described in the table below.
The table below shows the tuition cost per month for each plan.
|Classes per Week||Three Month Plan (per month)|
Class Size and Duration
We keep the size of our group classes small to give each parent-child more attention and practice. Our student-to-teacher ratio in our Infant Toddler swim classes is 5:1 because we have a parent or care-taker as a spotter for the child. Infant Toddler swim classes are 30 minutes in duration.
